There are literally thousands of sites and the list below is just scratching the surface of what is available. They are not endorsed as being the best, but these do provide usually up-to-date information and help. Please keep in mind that publishing on the web does not make the information necessarily true. A national organization with services and support to patients and their families on all types of cancer.  Has very valuable and comprehensive list of resources

Cancer Net
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) site with a lot of very good information and resources.  In particular is PDQ, the searchable database for protocols and studies.

The University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center Resource center

Good site with information about diagnosis and treatment of all stages of melanoma, as well as news on recent information.

An exhibition by people whose lives have been touched by cancer

LiverTumor.org
A site focused on information related to cancer within the liver and the various treatment options available.

Complementary Medicine
This site contains an excellent starting point for understanding complementary/alternative medicine and what it is (and is not). There are links to other sites which contain research information on the various treatments available.

NIH Office of Dietary Supplements
Excellent site of published and scientific literature on vitamins, minerals and botanicals.
 

BREAST CANCER WEBSITES


BreastCancer.org
Founded and still guided by Marisa Weiss, M.D., a radiation oncologist , this is a good general site with information and patient input.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
The Komen Foundations website with news as well as educational and treatmetn information.  In addition, information for the Race for the Cure events is listed.
